President, CEO and Director
John graduated from the University of Saskatchewan (1958) with a Bachelor of Commerce – until 1988 he worked in the brokerage business. John has a rich history in the Golden Triangle area of northwestern BC. He was president of Delaware Resources, a penny stock that went to $28 in 1988, on the discovery of what would become the Snip Mine. John was president of Stikine Resources Ltd, when in 1990 he took it from a penny stock to $75, with the discovery of the Eskay Creek Mine.
CFO and Director
Bob obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1974. From 1979 to 1986 he worked in the junior exploration business in Calgary in both oil and gas and mining. Since 1986 he has been in Vancouver, in the junior mining exploration sector. He has been a director / CFO of a number of junior companies, including Stikine Resources Ltd, but now works exclusively with Ascot.
Ken graduated from UBC (1970) BSc Geology. From 1970 to 1988 he worked for Cominco Ltd in North America, Europe and the Middle East. From 1988 to 1991 he was director of Canadian Exploration for Echo Bay Mines Ltd. Since 1991 he has been involved with a number of junior mining companies in a management / director capacity. He retired in 2009 and now serves Ascot as an independent director.
Graeme Evans, P.Geo
Graeme graduated from UBC (1983) BSc Geology . Since graduation Graeme has worked continuously in mineral exploration throughout the cordillera from Alaska to Nevada exploring for calc-alkaline and alkaline porphyries, sedex, VMS, skarns and mesothermal and epithermal gold systems for a number of senior companies including Hudson Bay Mining, B.P. Selco, Inmet and more recently Teck Resources (1991-2009). Work has ranged from grassroots to advanced feasibility work on numerous programs and he has been involved with teams making a number of discoveries. Graeme has also visited projects globally and managed property submittals, and developed generative programs as well as spending several years working on Archean gold projects. Graeme is a registered PGeo with APEGBC and APGO. Graeme Evans is the Company’s qualified person.
Greg is President and CEO of Sprott Mining and Jerritt Canyon Gold LLC. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the mining industry as a miner, mine manager, director, CEO and President. Greg’s experience has focused on gold and copper mines primarily in Canada, US, and Australia. He successfully led Trelawney Mining and Exploration as President, CEO and director from an early explorer to the $608 million sale to IAMGOLD in 2012. Greg is a director of Latin American Minerals, Barkerville Gold Mines, Kerr Mines, Inventus Mining Corp, Sprott Mining Inc., Jerritt Canyon Canada, Mag Copper Ltd. and Rae Wallace Mining.
Operations Manager and Director
Rick has spent the last fourteen years as a prospector / deal maker. Before that he was a longshoreman for ten years and a contractor to the mining business for ten years. Rick brought both the Swamp Point and the Premier / Dilworth deals to Ascot. Since bringing the Dilworth deal he has worked exclusively for Ascot running field programs.
John graduated from the Hull Naval College, UK in 1960 and spent 25 years at sea, including a number of years shipbuilding in Japan, becoming Captain in 1970. Since retiring from the sea John has worked in the Marine Industry to date and has provided marine consulting services to the International engineering industry for the development of over 200 marine facilities, ports and harbours. John was CEO of his own manufacturing company which was sold to Dupont in 2000. He holds 14 international patents associated with emergency respirator safety equipment. John was involved in the design and construction of the Swamp Point barge transfer system and the proposed ship dock and since then has served Ascot as an independent director.
